The Hunziker Areal is home to around 1,300 residents and represents a bold, real-life experiment in future-oriented living, founded by over 50 Zurich housing cooperatives under the initiative mehr als wohnen (“more than housing”).
Each nine-minute episode offers a close-up view of how cooperative living unfolds in practice – from shared spaces and decision-making processes to the personal stories of residents. The series captures both the challenges and the unique social dynamics that emerge within this innovative urban setting.
The original score was composed specifically for the series, accompanying the stories with a restrained and atmospheric musical layer. Rather than taking centre stage, the music subtly supports the tone of each episode and reflects the everyday rhythms and moods of cooperative life.
